Frieren Beyond Journey’s End

Without a doubt my anime of the year for 2023. My girlfriend was four or five episodes into this series that she became obbessed with. She told me about this elf who lived on after her party saved the world. Now she was traveling with new members and begining a new story. Gosh darn it, did that sound like D&D to me. So like the massive D&D nerd I am, I started watching it with her. The show was nothing short of incredible for me. A completely different take on story telling that doesn’t end with a major light beam in the sky and a battle with god to save the universe.
