Ash - Ash Pailios was born inside the Clovis Conclave in the small village of Redwater. Quickly discovering a love for history, Ash left to pursue a higher education and eventually found himself as an academic and archeologist. Surviving the chaos of the Prevented Collapse, Ash would go on to become a professor of history and theology at the Blackstone Institute, a newly founded college in Clovis by Rhalia Blackstone. After working and researching there for nearly a century, Ash was surprised to find a newfound fascination in learning arcana. Unfortunately for him, he could not find ample opportunities to test the fruits of his newfound hobby. That is, until he was kidnapped by the Keepers of Sight alongside other would-be adventurers off the street during the chaos of the yearly festival. Now, Ash finds his life upended as he becomes embroiled in the conspiracies and machinations of the Keepers of Sight and Murkdread, the Demon Lord of Murder.

Armed with little more than donated weapons, hand-me-down armor, and any money that the town could spare, Owen saddled up family’s mule, Willow, and set out on a harrowing arduous journey through lands ravaged by Madness. After weeks of hardship and danger, Owen reached the gates of Clovis, ready for his chance to stand before the throne. Fate would have other plans.
